5G launches on October 1.

Sep 30, 2022
5G is the fifth-generation technology for broadband cellular networks. The foundation of 5G is OFDM (Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing), where a single information stream over several closely spaced narrowband subchannel frequencies. On October 1 at 10 AM, PM Modi will launch 5G services in India. To highlight the promise of 5G technology in India, the three major telecom providers, Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, will each present one use in front of the Prime Minister.
With virtual and augmented reality aid, the Airtel demo will feature a girl from Uttar Pradesh taking part in an engaging and immersive educational experience to learn about the solar system. The girl will use a hologram to appear on the dais and talk to the PM about her educational experiences.
The reliance jio demo will feature A teacher from a school in Mumbai communicating with kids in three separate places in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Odisha using Reliance Jio. By reducing the physical distance between teachers and pupils, 5G will be able to better support education by bringing the two together.
The Vodafone Idea test case will illustrate worker safety in a Delhi Metro tunnel still under construction by building a digital twin of the tunnel on a computer screen. To oversee the work in real time, the PM will use VR and artificial intelligence, taking a live demo from the dais.
Precision farming, reducing the need for humans in risky industrial operations like deep mines and offshore work, etc., will all benefit from 5G.
