Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the virtual fan convention will not take place this year and will focus on resuming worldwide in-person events. The Justice League Snyder Cut, The Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman 1984 trailers premiered on DC FanDome in 2020, where it was a huge hit, and new trailers for The Flash and The Batman were released at DC FanDome in 2021.

WB Discovery mainly concentrated on conventions like San Diego Comic-Con this year, when it had a great panel about Black Adam and other projects. Other than that, it didn't participate in any events or press. Recently WB canceled a $90 billion "Batgirl" movie with a $40 million animated feature, "Scoob 2." It means they are taking a break, trying to strategize their future slate of films, and concentrating on better leadership and a productive environment. This approach postponed Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2 to the following year. It's a little disappointing that fans will have to wait a year to see Shazam!, Aquaman!, and the first standalone Flash movie, but it's good to know that Black Adam is still on the schedule and will be released in October.
