Swiggy voucher and gift card: how Swiggy Money cards work

The two are often mixed up. A Swiggy Money gift card is money: someone has already paid for it, and it sits in Swiggy Money until it's spent. A promo code is a discount Swiggy offers on a particular order, usually with a minimum order value and an expiry. You can't buy promo codes, and lists of "Swiggy voucher codes" on coupon sites are often expired or made up.

Gift card validity depends on the batch. Reseller listings range from about six months to more than a year, so treat the expiry date that comes with your card as the one that counts.

Redeem the card in the app, not on the website. The card value then shows inside Swiggy Money.

Swiggy Money covers more than restaurant food, which makes it a practical gift:

• Parents living on their own can use it on Instamart for groceries without asking you to order.
• Children in a hostel or PG get a monthly food allowance that can't be spent on anything else.
• New flatmates or a team moving cities can order in during the first chaotic week.
• Festival gifting works for sweets, dry fruits and snacks delivered to the door.

If the person only orders from restaurants and never uses Instamart, a Zomato card is a close alternative and carries a listed discount on Subspace.

Swiggy Money pricing on Subspace moves with stock, so check the product page for today's rate. The chart compares the highest listed discount on other food and grocery cards you could give instead. Brand-specific cards such as Domino's and KFC often carry bigger discounts than platform cards, but they only work at that one brand.
