BSNL 1 year validity plans: which annual recharge to pick
An annual recharge means one payment, no monthly reminders and a lower cost per month than short plans. BSNL has two prepaid plans with a full 365 days of validity: ₹2,399 with 2GB of data a day and ₹2,799 with 3GB a day. Two cheaper long plans, at ₹1,999 and ₹1,499, are often called yearly plans, but they last 330 and 300 days. This page compares all four, works out what each costs per month, and flags what has changed recently, including the 412-day offer on the ₹2,399 plan that ended on 12 September 2026. BSNL long-validity plans side by side
The two full-year plans both include unlimited calls and 100 SMS a day. The difference is daily data: 2GB a day on ₹2,399 and 3GB a day on ₹2,799. After the daily quota, speed drops to 40 kbps until midnight, which is enough for messages but not video.
The ₹1,999 and ₹1,499 plans appeared in a May 2026 report as long-validity options, but we couldn't confirm they are still on sale in every circle. Check the plan list in the app before you count on them.

What each plan costs per month
Spread over their validity, the full-year plans cost about ₹197 a month for 2GB a day and about ₹230 a month for 3GB a day. The extra ₹400 for ₹2,799 buys 365 GB more data across the year, about ₹1.10 per extra GB. That is good value if you regularly hit the 2GB limit, and wasted money if you rarely do.
The 300-day plan looks cheapest per month, but it leaves you about two months short of a year, so you'll pay for another recharge sooner. Compare plans on cost per month and on how often you'd have to recharge.

Before you lock in a year
A year is a long commitment on one network. Check BSNL coverage where you live and work, ideally by using a BSNL SIM for a few weeks on a short plan first. If you mainly need the number for calls, OTPs and the occasional browse, a cheaper long plan or a voice-focused plan may suit you better than paying for 2GB a day you won't use.
Annual plans also don't protect you from changes to the plan list itself. Operators withdraw and replace plans often, so treat any list, including ours, as a snapshot and confirm in the app on the day you recharge.

Which BSNL plan gives 1 year validity?
The ₹2,399 plan (2GB a day) and the ₹2,799 plan (3GB a day) both give 365 days, with unlimited calls. Confirm both in the plan list for your circle before recharging.
Does the ₹2,399 BSNL plan still give 412 days?
No. The 412-day validity was a limited offer for recharges between 12 August and 12 September 2026. The plan is back to 365 days.
Are the ₹1,999 and ₹1,499 BSNL plans full-year plans?
No. They were reported with 330 and 300 days of validity. We couldn’t confirm they are still available everywhere.
What happens after the daily data on a BSNL annual plan runs out?
Speed drops to 40 kbps until the daily quota resets. Calls and SMS continue as normal.
Should I pick the ₹2,399 or the ₹2,799 BSNL plan?
If you regularly run out of 2GB a day, the ₹2,799 plan adds 1GB a day for about ₹1.10 per extra GB. If you rarely use 2GB, the ₹2,399 plan at about ₹197 a month is the better buy.
