Dish TV recharge plans: how your monthly amount is built
There is no single Dish TV recharge plan that suits everyone, because the amount depends on your region, your pack and the channels you add on top. What stays the same is the structure of the bill: a network capacity fee (NCF), the price of the packs or a-la-carte channels you choose, and 18% GST. This page explains that structure, shows how to see the channels you are paying for today, and covers what to check before a 1-month or 3-month recharge. It also explains where Zing fits in. We don't list pack prices here because Dish TV doesn't publish a national rate card we could verify. The exact amount due appears when you enter your VC number or registered mobile number in the Subspace app.

What goes into a Dish TV recharge amount
Under TRAI's tariff framework for TV distribution, every DTH bill has three parts.
- Network capacity fee (NCF). This pays for carrying channels to your box. Until 2024 TRAI capped it at ₹130 for 200 channels and ₹160 above that, before tax. TRAI's July 2024 amendment removed those ceilings, so each operator now sets and publishes its own NCF, which can vary by number of channels, region and customer type.
- Channel charges. You pay the price of each pay channel you pick a-la-carte, or the price of a pack (bouquet) that bundles them. Free-to-air channels carry no channel charge, but they still count towards NCF.
- GST at 18% on the total.
That is why two homes on "the same pack" can pay different amounts: one may have added a sports channel, another may be in a region with a different NCF. Long recharges multiply the monthly amount. A 3-month recharge is roughly three times your monthly figure unless Dish TV is running an offer on longer durations, which it shows in its own app.
Illustrative only, not Dish TV prices. Assumes ₹150 NCF and ₹200 of pay channels; GST is 18% of the ₹350 subtotal. Your actual amount shows when you fetch your account in the app.
| NCF (assumed) | ₹150 |
|---|---|
| Pay channels (assumed) | ₹200 |
| GST at 18% | ₹63 |
| Monthly total | ₹413 |
How to see your Dish TV channel list and current pack
Dish TV shows your subscribed channels inside Manage Pack (or Modify Pack) once you log in to the Dish TV app or website with your registered mobile number or customer ID. That screen is the reliable answer to "which channels am I paying for", because a generic Dish TV channel list doesn't tell you what is active on your box.
If you don't want to log in, Dish TV's official quick-help page lists missed-call numbers that work from your registered mobile. Add a channel by missed call or SMS and it activates within about 15 minutes. Removing a channel is done in the app or website, and some channels have a one-day lock-in before you can drop them.

Recharge Dish TV on Subspace
Subspace connects to Dish TV through Bharat BillPay (BBPS), so the payment goes straight to your Dish TV account. Have your VC number (on the viewing card or in the box menu) or registered mobile number ready.
- 1Open the Subspace app and go to Bill payments, then DTH.
- 2Choose Dish TV from the operator list.
- 3Enter your VC number or registered mobile number. The app fetches your account details.
- 4Enter the amount. For a 1-month recharge use your monthly pack amount; for 3 months, multiply it by three.
- 5Pay by UPI, card or net banking and keep the BBPS reference number from the receipt.
- 6If channels don’t return after the recharge reflects, give a missed call to 1800-270-2102 with the box switched on.
Zing, d2h and your set-top box
Dish TV India Limited runs three DTH brands: Dish TV, d2h and Zing. Zing started in 2014 as a regional brand with language-first packs, beginning in West Bengal, and a 2024 Dish TV release describes Zing Super for smaller towns in Hindi-speaking regions. A Zing TV recharge works like any Dish TV recharge: you use the VC number of the box. If the app lists Zing as a separate operator, pick it; if not, ask Dish TV care which biller your box uses before paying.
For a new or replacement Dish TV set top box, including moving from SD to HD, deal with Dish TV directly. HD channels only play on an HD box. Subspace handles recharges, not hardware. If you also pay for a d2h connection or want to compare how Tata Play shows your channel list, those pages cover the differences.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest Dish TV recharge plan for 1 month?
It depends on your region and channels. Even a free-to-air-only setup pays NCF plus 18% GST, and every pay channel or pack adds to that. Log in to Dish TV’s Manage Pack screen to see your current monthly amount, or fetch your account on Subspace to see the amount due.
Can I do a Dish TV recharge for 3 months at once?
Yes. Enter roughly three times your monthly amount when you recharge. The balance sits in your Dish TV account and is used as each month runs. Dish TV sometimes runs offers on longer recharges; those appear in its own app.
How do I check the Dish TV channel list for my pack?
Log in to the Dish TV app or website with your registered mobile number or customer ID and open Manage Pack, which lists your subscribed channels. For account details by SMS, give a missed call to 1800 274 9000 from your registered mobile.
How do I add a channel to my Dish TV connection?
Give a missed call to 1800-568 followed by the channel number (add a 0 before 3-digit numbers), or send ADD and the channel number to 57575. The channel activates within about 15 minutes and its price is added to your monthly amount.
Is Zing part of Dish TV, and how do I do a Zing TV recharge?
Yes. Zing is a regional DTH brand of Dish TV India Limited. Recharge it with the VC number of your box. Choose Zing if it appears as an operator in the app; otherwise check with Dish TV care which biller to use.
Does Dish TV charge GST on recharges?
Yes. DTH services attract 18% GST, which is added to your NCF and channel charges.
