Where the Luxe card works
Most of the 45-plus brands accept the card in their stores; luxegiftcard.com lists the participating brands and store locations. The card isn't accepted at airport stores. Rules to read before you gift it
- Activation first. The card has to be activated by SMS or through the registration portal named in its terms. The instructions come with the card.
- Full-priced items only. It can't be used on sale or discounted merchandise, so time the shopping trip outside sale season.
- One redemption. The card is redeemed once before expiry. If the bill is lower than the card, the unused part is not refunded or issued as a credit note.
- Several cards in one bill are allowed, which helps you match a bigger purchase.
- 12 months from the date of purchase, and the card can't be cancelled or blocked once issued.
- Balance and validity can be checked by SMS, as described in the terms, or at any participating store.
Because of the one-time rule, smaller cards are more practical than one large card unless you know the person is planning a big purchase.

Do the activation step as soon as the card arrives, so the recipient can shop without delays at the counter.
