Indane gas booking: every official number and how to use it
Indane is IndianOil’s cooking gas brand, and since 2020 it has used one refill booking number for the whole country: 77189 55555, by call or SMS. You can also book by giving a missed call to 84549 55555, or by sending “Hi” on WhatsApp to 75888 88824. All three work only from the mobile number registered with your connection. If you would rather book and pay in one step, you can pay for an Indane refill on Subspace through Bharat BillPay (BBPS); the order still goes to your own distributor, who delivers the cylinder. Below are the official channels, the steps for each, the current refill price and what happens at the door when the cylinder arrives.

Indane booking channels at a glance
IndianOil runs the same set of channels across India, so the numbers below work whichever city your distributor is in. Your registered mobile number is the key: the IVRS, missed-call and WhatsApp systems identify your connection from it. If you call from another phone, the IVRS may ask for your LPG ID, which is printed on your refill invoice (cash memo).

How to book an Indane refill by phone, missed call or WhatsApp
Each route ends the same way: you get an SMS with a booking reference, then another SMS when the cash memo is generated. Keep the phone handy for the delivery code.
- 1From your registered mobile, call or SMS 77189 55555, give a missed call to 84549 55555, or send “Hi” on WhatsApp to 75888 88824.
- 2On IVRS, choose your language and confirm the refill booking. If prompted, enter your LPG ID from the cash memo.
- 3On WhatsApp, pick refill booking from the menu. Some guides mention the keyword “REFILL”; “Hi” opens the same menu.
- 4Wait for the booking SMS. It confirms the order with your distributor.
- 5When the cash memo is generated you get the amount and a Delivery Authentication Code (DAC). Pay the delivery person or pay online, and share the DAC only at the door.
Book and pay for an Indane refill on Subspace
Subspace is a Bharat BillPay app. When you choose Indane as the provider, the booking request goes to IndianOil’s system and on to your distributor, exactly as it would from IndianOil’s own app. Subspace does not deliver cylinders and is not an Indane distributor. The advantage is convenience: you can pay for gas, electricity, water and DTH from one place and keep the receipts together.
- 1Open the Subspace app and go to Bills, then Gas/LPG.
- 2Choose Indane as the provider.
- 3Enter the identifier the form asks for, usually your registered mobile number or LPG ID.
- 4Check the refill amount shown, then pay by UPI, card or net banking.
- 5Keep the confirmation. Delivery, the DAC and any complaint about the cylinder are handled by your distributor.
What an Indane refill costs right now
A 14.2 kg domestic Indane refill costs ₹942 in Delhi, ₹941.50 in Mumbai, ₹968 in Kolkata and ₹957.50 in Chennai. These prices have applied since 7 June 2026 and did not change on 1 October 2026. The smaller 5 kg “Chhotu” free-trade cylinder is priced separately and moves every month; the latest figure we could verify is ₹808.50 in Delhi for July 2026. PMUY (Ujjwala) households pay the same price at delivery and get a subsidy of ₹300 per 14.2 kg refill back in their bank account.

Delivery, the DAC and changing your registered number
Oil companies send a Delivery Authentication Code by SMS when the cash memo is generated, and the delivery person needs it to close the delivery. IndianOil and BPCL advise sharing it only at the time of delivery, with the person handing over your cylinder.
Since 1 October 2026, a subsidised domestic refill can be booked at the regulated price only after biometric Aadhaar authentication. About 89.9% of consumers had already done it by mid-September 2026; if you haven’t, see LPG e-KYC online.
If you change your phone number, update it before your next booking, or the IVRS and WhatsApp channels won’t recognise you. You can do this from the customer portal or the IndianOil ONE app (both handle personal records), or at your distributor. For complaints, IndianOil lists the toll-free LPG line 1800-2333-555. Can I book an Indane cylinder from a new or unregistered number?
Missed-call and WhatsApp bookings only work from the registered number. On IVRS you may be asked for your LPG ID. Booking on Subspace or the IndianOil ONE app with your LPG ID is another option.
