Piped gas · Maharashtra Natural Gas (MNGL)
Pay your MNGL piped gas bill in Pune and other areas
Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) supplies piped gas to homes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, and also runs networks in Nashik, Nanded, Sindhudurg, Valsad, Ramanagara and Nizamabad. Your bill arrives every two months and is identified by a BP number, a numeric ID printed on the bill (MNGL’s own example is eight digits). Domestic PNG costs ₹51.50 per SCM in Pune from 16 June 2026. MNGL charges a ₹100 penalty on an unpaid bill and can disconnect after two months past the due date, so it pays to know the options. You can pay on mngl.in, at walk-in centres, or pay your MNGL bill on Subspace through Bharat BillPay.

- 2Fill in your name, email and mobile number, and verify the OTP sent to your phone.

Charges and late-payment rules
MNGL’s rate card lists the charges below for domestic connections. The minimum charge applies even if you use very little gas, for example when a flat is empty.
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Minimum consumption per bimonthly bill | 4 SCM |
| Penalty for non-payment | ₹100 per bill |
| Disconnection for non-payment | Two months after the due date |
| Reconnection (after paying dues and penalty) | ₹1,500 |
| Cheque dishonour charge | ₹177 (incl. GST) |
| Name transfer or change of ownership | ₹250 |
| New connection: application fee (non-refundable) | ₹500 |
| New connection: security deposits | ₹5,000 (connection) + ₹500 (gas consumption) |
Avoiding a disconnection
An unpaid bill costs ₹100 in penalty, and if it stays unpaid two months past the due date MNGL can terminate the connection. Getting it back means paying the dues, the penalty and a ₹1,500 reconnection charge. If you are travelling, pay as soon as the bill arrives, or pay a little extra in advance. MNGL also has walk-in centres and a billing-queries page on mngl.in for disputes.
New connections, name transfers and moving out
Before applying for a new domestic connection, check Charged Area Status on mngl.in to see whether gas is already available in your building or society. If it is, apply through Domestic Connection Request. The rate card lists a non-refundable application fee of ₹500, an interest-free refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 for the connection and ₹500 towards gas consumption, plus online charges of ₹550 where applicable.
Bought or rented a flat that already has MNGL gas? Apply for a name transfer on mngl.in (₹250) and track it on the name-transfer status page, so future bills and any refund of deposit go to you. If you are leaving for a long period or for good, MNGL’s customer-care section explains its temporary discontinuation and permanent disconnection processes; follow them rather than simply stopping payment, since the minimum charge of 4 SCM per bill keeps applying to an active connection.
