JioHotstar plans explained: Mobile, Super and Premium prices

JioStar announced these prices on 19 January 2026, and they apply to new subscribers from 28 January 2026. If you were subscribed before that, you keep your old price for as long as auto-renew stays on. Switch it off and you rejoin at the new rates.

Mobile is built for one person on one phone. It carries ads and leaves out Hollywood films and series, which come as a separate add-on at ₹49 a month, ₹129 for three months or ₹399 a year. Add that to the Mobile price and the gap to Super narrows quickly.

Super is the household middle option: two devices at once, smart TVs and browsers allowed, Hollywood included, but with ads.

Premium is the plan people mean when they search "Hotstar Premium". Four devices can stream together and on-demand titles play without ads. Live cricket and other live shows still carry ads on Premium too.

Every tier gets cheaper per month the longer you commit. On Premium and Super, twelve monthly payments cost over 60% more than the yearly plan; on Mobile, monthly billing nearly doubles the yearly price. The quarterly plans sit in between and suit a single cricket season. If you want JioHotstar for one tournament only, buy the shortest plan that covers it and leave auto-renew off.

Jio, Airtel and Vi have all sold prepaid packs that bundle a JioHotstar subscription, especially around IPL season. A bundle can beat paying JioHotstar directly if you needed the recharge anyway. Before you switch, check three things: which JioHotstar tier is bundled, how long it lasts compared with the recharge validity, and how to activate it. Premium's four-device limit is what makes it worth sharing across a family.
