Netflix plans in India: what each costs and who it suits
Netflix sells four plans in India and bills all of them monthly; there is no annual plan and no ad-supported tier here. Mobile costs ₹149 and plays on one phone or tablet in SD. Basic, at ₹199, adds TVs and laptops in HD on one screen. Standard, at ₹499, streams on two screens in Full HD, and Premium, at ₹649, streams on four screens in 4K with HDR and spatial audio. The catalogue is the same on every plan. This page compares the four, shows which is cheapest per screen, explains broadband bundles such as ACT's, and walks through stopping Netflix autopay.

The cheapest Netflix subscription, per plan and per screen
Mobile is the cheapest Netflix subscription outright, but it is locked to one phone or tablet in SD and can't cast to a TV. Basic is the cheapest way to watch on a television. Look at cost per screen, though, and the order flips: Premium works out cheaper per screen than Standard or Basic, because it streams on four devices at once. For a household of three or four who watch separately, Premium is the better buy.
Official India prices from help.netflix.com, October 2026, divided by the number of screens that can stream at once. Rounded.
| Mobile (1 screen) | ₹149 |
|---|---|
| Basic (1 screen) | ₹199 |
| Standard (2 screens) | ₹250 |
| Premium (4 screens) | ₹162 |
One account, one household
Netflix accounts are meant for one household: the devices connected to the internet at the main place you watch. Netflix's help centre says you may not share an account outside your household. It mentions an "extra member" option in general terms, but its India plans page lists no extra member price, so don't plan around one. If you see "Your device isn't part of the Netflix Household" or "too many devices", our page on Netflix household and password-sharing messages explains what each means and how to fix it.
ACT and other Netflix bundles
ACT Fibernet has offered Netflix Basic with selected long-term broadband plans since 2023, with the option to upgrade to Standard or Premium by paying the difference on your ACT bill. Other operators bundle streaming apps too, and the included Netflix plan varies. Check ACT's current plans for your city before switching; you can pay your ACT bill on our ACT Fibernet bill payment page.
When Netflix comes through a partner like a broadband or mobile operator, the partner bills you, so plan changes and cancellations go through them rather than Netflix.
How to stop Netflix autopay
Netflix has no separate autopay switch; stopping autopay means cancelling the membership. You keep watching until the end of the billing period you've paid for. Our stop Netflix autopay guide also covers UPI mandates.
- 1Go to the Manage your membership section of your Netflix Account page and sign in if asked.
- 2Select Cancel.
- 3Select Finish Cancellation. Netflix sends a confirmation email.
- 4If there is no Cancel option, you are billed by a partner such as a broadband or mobile operator. Your Account page names them; cancel with that partner.
