Every YouTube Premium plan and price
Full Premium removes ads across YouTube, adds background play and downloads, and includes YouTube Music Premium. Lite is narrower: no ads on most non-music videos, but ads stay on music and Shorts and can appear in search and browse. Background play and downloads were added to Lite in India in February 2026.

Cost per person on each plan
Family is by far the cheapest YouTube Premium per head, but only if you fill it with people who actually live with you. Google's rules say family members must live at the same residential address as the family manager, the manager must be 18 or older, and you can switch family groups only once every 12 months. Two-person is the better fit for a couple. Students should take the student plan, and anyone who mostly watches non-music videos can try Lite.

The annual plan vs paying monthly
YouTube's annual plan is a 12-month prepaid Individual membership at ₹1,490. Twelve monthly payments of ₹149 cost about two months more, so prepaid wins if you are sure you will keep Premium all year. The trade-offs: prepaid plans don't get the free trial, and they don't renew, so you buy again when the year ends. If you only want ad-free music, YouTube Music Premium has its own prepaid year at ₹1,190.
Offers, and the “₹10 YouTube Premium” searches
There is no ₹10 YouTube Premium plan on YouTube's official page. Any intro offer you qualify for shows on youtube.com/premium when you are signed in, and the standing one today is the free first month on monthly plans for eligible new members. A ₹10 offer seen on social media or coupon sites is either an expired promotion or not from YouTube.
Two other legitimate routes: Google AI Pro, sold through Google One, includes YouTube Premium Lite Individual, and some telecom packs have bundled YouTube Premium, so check your operator's current list on our Jio recharge plans page. How to unsubscribe from YouTube Premium
