UGVCL light bill: find your consumer number and pay it on Subspace
Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL) is the state-owned distribution company for north Gujarat, headquartered in Mehsana. Its light bill is identified by an 11-digit consumer number, the same format all four GUVNL companies use for homes and shops. Once you have that number you can view or print the bill on UGVCL's portal, check whether a payment has been recorded, or pay it through the GUVNL quick-pay page or any Bharat Connect (BBPS) app, including Subspace. This page walks through each of UGVCL's online services, explains what the bill shows, estimates a residential bill from the published tariff, and lists the official helplines.

UGVCL links all its consumer tools from the home page at ugvcl.com. Most need only the consumer number; e-Vidhyut Seva asks you to register and log in. The View / Print Bill link is the one to use for a duplicate bill, and Latest Payment Status shows whether your last payment reached UGVCL.

Reading your UGVCL light bill
The consumer number is the 11-digit number printed with your name and address at the top of the bill. It's the only identifier you need for UGVCL's portals and for BBPS apps. Don't confuse it with the meter number, which identifies the device on your wall, or the bill number, which changes every cycle.
The rest of the bill tells you what you're paying for: the billing period, previous and current meter readings, the units consumed (current minus previous), the energy charge, the fixed charge, the fuel price adjustment, electricity duty, the due date and the amount payable. If the units look high, compare the current reading on the bill with the reading on your meter. A big gap usually means the reading was estimated, and UGVCL's helpline can correct it.
If you don't have a paper bill, the consumer number also appears on earlier payment receipts and in the history of any app you've paid from.
Estimate a UGVCL bill from the tariff
UGVCL bills homes under GERC's RGP tariff, the same one DGVCL, MGVCL and PGVCL use. To estimate a month's bill, add four things: the slab-wise energy charge, the fixed charge for your connected load, the FPPAS fuel adjustment of ₹2.45 per unit, and a variable FPPAS of 3.99% on the energy charge, base FPPAS and fixed charge together. Electricity duty comes on top. UGVCL's own Bill Calculator on ugvcl.com does this sum for you.
The chart shows what that comes to for an urban home with a 2–4 kW connection (₹25 fixed charge), before duty. FPPAS adds a large share: at 200 units the energy charge is ₹742.50, but the bill before duty is about ₹1,308.
| Component | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Energy, units 1–50 | 50 × ₹3.05 | ₹152.50 |
| Energy, units 51–100 | 50 × ₹3.50 | ₹175.00 |
| Energy, units 101–200 | 100 × ₹4.15 | ₹415.00 |
| Fixed charge | 2–4 kW load | ₹25.00 |
| Base FPPAS | 200 × ₹2.45 | ₹490.00 |
| Variable FPPAS | 3.99% of ₹1,257.50 | ₹50.17 |
| Total before electricity duty | ₹1,307.67 |
Energy + ₹25 fixed charge + FPPAS (₹2.45/unit base + 3.99% variable) under GERC FY 2026-27 rates and GUVNL’s FPPAS circular. Electricity duty is extra; FPPAS is revised quarterly.
| 100 units | ₹621.3 |
|---|---|
| 200 units | ₹1,307.7 |
| 300 units | ₹2,048.6 |
| 400 units | ₹2,844.1 |
Paying a UGVCL bill: your options
UGVCL quick pay. The GUVNL portal at mpay.guvnl.in takes cards, UPI, net banking and wallets. Choose UGVCL, enter the consumer number and pay. DGVCL, for one, publishes processing fees for each method, so card and UPI payments on bills above ₹2,000 can carry a small charge.
Bharat Connect apps. UGVCL bills can be paid through BBPS apps. On Subspace, pick Uttar Gujarat Vij Company in the electricity list, enter the consumer number, check that the name and amount match your bill, and pay by UPI. The payment is reported to UGVCL through Bharat Connect, and your consumer number is saved for next time.
In person. If you'd rather pay at a counter, ask your UGVCL sub-division office which collection points near you take payments, and carry the bill or consumer number.
Whichever route you use, keep the receipt or reference number until Latest Payment Status on UGVCL's site shows the payment.
