Amazon Prime membership price: every plan in India compared
Amazon sells four memberships in India, and the right one depends on whether you want Prime Video, faster delivery or both. Full Prime costs ₹299 a month or ₹1,499 a year and covers shopping benefits, Prime Video on up to five devices and Prime Music. Prime Lite, at ₹799 a year, keeps the delivery perks but limits Prime Video to one device in HD. Prime Shopping Edition, at ₹399 a year, drops video altogether. Since June 2025 Prime Video also shows ads unless you pay for the ad-free add-on. Here is the full price list, which tier suits which shopper, and where Subspace vouchers fit in.

Amazon Prime plans and prices
All three paid tiers include free fast delivery; what changes is how much Prime Video you get. Amazon's plans page no longer lists a quarterly Prime plan, a Prime Video Mobile Edition or a youth offer, so treat older articles quoting those as out of date.

Which Prime plan suits which shopper
- You order often and watch Prime Video on the TV with family: full Prime, yearly. It is the only tier with more than one stream at a time and 4K.
- You order often and watch alone on your phone: Prime Lite. You give up 4K, extra screens and the option to buy ad-free, and pay about half the yearly Prime price.
- You only care about delivery: Shopping Edition is the cheapest way to get Prime shipping.
- You want Prime for one big sale: monthly Prime, cancelled after the sale.
Amazon lets you upgrade from Shopping Edition to Lite or Prime, or from Lite to Prime, partway through a membership, so starting on a cheaper tier costs you nothing if you change your mind. Our Prime Lite vs Prime comparison goes through the trade-offs in detail.
Ads on Prime Video and the ad-free add-on
Since 17 June 2025, Prime Video in India shows ads to Prime members by default. To remove them you buy the ad-free add-on from your Prime Video account settings. Reports in May 2025 put it at ₹129 a month or ₹699 a year, the yearly figure being an introductory discount with no announced end date. Prime Lite members cannot buy ad-free at all; they need to upgrade to full Prime first.
Twelve monthly Prime payments cost more than double the yearly plan, so monthly only wins if you need Prime for a month or two a year.

Buying Prime for less with a voucher
A Prime membership is tied to one Amazon account and its orders, so the practical saving on Subspace is a voucher rather than a group. Subspace sells Amazon Prime vouchers below face value: you buy the voucher, redeem it on your own Amazon account, and get the same membership as buying direct.
